About Us: Jeff & Rhonda Cole
Married for 30 years, Jeff and Rhonda Cole serve as co-founders of Project James.
JEFF COLE
Jeff Cole was born into a military family in Washington, D.C. He lived in Italy until he moved to Myrtle Beach in 4th grade and graduated from Myrtle Beach High School. Jeff received a B.S. in Business Administration from Coastal Carolina University through a University of South Carolina satellite program.
Over the years, he has held many positions with local businesses and founded two companies including Triple C, Inc., a tourism based business selling old time photos, airbrush T-shirts and license plates. He also started Xtreme Surf & Skateboard Co. which he ran for 10 years. In 2006, Jeff became Life Group Pastor at Seacoast Vineyard Church where he worked to coordinate and develop small groups. He also served as Executive Director of Your Next Step, an organization dedicated to teaching what Christ-like discipleship looks like and how to model it.
Jeff has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America and has visited almost every state. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, motorcycle riding, hiking, backpacking and spending time with his son, Jeffrey Bryon Cole, Jr. and his amazing wife, Rhonda and now our precious Granddaughter Mia Delaney Cole.
Jeff’s Favorite Project James Story: The Birth of Nurse Rhonda
The birth of Nurse Rhonda in Haiti began as she participated in a feeding program with children, which led to a game outside the tents. When one of the children hurt her foot, Jeff took the child over to Rhonda. Soon, all the children started gathering around and asking if she could help their sick friends and family members. That night, Rhonda prepared a medical bag and kit so she could make house calls the next day. The kids escorted Nurse Rhonda, Jeff, and mission trip members Sue and Rich White all over their community to help sick friends, relatives and neighbors.
RHONDA COLE
Rhonda Cole has been partners in business with Jeff Cole for more than 23 years. After spending time at home with her son, she went back to school and became a registered nurse. Today, Rhonda works at Waccamaw Hospital in Murrell’s Inlet, SC where she is a Registered Nurse in the Flex Pool.
Rhonda’s passion is providing medical care to the people of Haiti. In addition to working on medical projects, she serves as the organization’s secretary. Rhonda’s hobbies include sunbathing and anything where she can work with her hands and get them dirty.
